I don't think FB is aligning with Trump so much as they are disassociating
with goverment oversight in general.  I do agree that their doing so right
now is because they see writing on the wall.

I also don't think it matters which side they are aligned with.  As long as
they are aligned to *either* side, they are going to turn a blind eye to
disinformation that benefits their side... and those on their side will eat
it up.
