There is no official elist or echolist in Fidonet.
Never has been. And likely never will be.

That is not to disparage anyone from trying.
Only stating what is.

There have been some attempts to create a list of echoes,
noting who is moderating what echoes, and from what zone(s).
But due to folks losing interest, moving on to other things,
etc., those lists came a went. As well it should have.

There is no such thing as "Elist maintainer" - as anybody can
make that same claim at any time from any zone.

I have an elist. My very own official elist. You can even
call it a echolist if you want to. I don't care. What I have
works for me.

A pencil. And a tablet. Listing all echoes I like.

This elist/echolist has worked great for me for decades.
Computer optional, but not necessary.
And no worries about power outages due to hurricanes.
