It all seemed to me totally unnecessary Ward. Regardless of the encounters you have had with whomever over what in the past. If you reply with a 'Please, Paul, no Roy Witt stuff here by turning the issue around. I've been too long in this business to not understand it" that's a poor stance to adopt with someone just trying to reply and help debug a problem.
It infers you think I am motivated to act in some negative fashion towards you and I was not. I fail to see why I should not take it personally when you write to me so explicitly in this manner.
May I suggest you take 5 and double check your assumptions on motive and seek to ask further questions to clarify the stance of your correspondent before you invoke your erm sense of Witt.
