Ward, you are making this into something it is not. I recall the name and the chap and from my limited time in Fido when he was alive I recall a lot of combative posts between Roy and others (yourself included?). Why you feel the need to invoke this sentiment and his name in a thread that you kicked off and I am just doing my best to respond to lord knows.
I've just tried in good faith to get your email contact details confirmed via netmail so I can pass them along to a chap who is in Z2 wanting to talk to someone in Fido about getting a node number.
I have seen a test netmail from you via Scott and replied to that... but as yet I am none the wiser about my original question to you to help this new sysop. Perhaps you can reply to that by netmail and send it via Scott while we work to sort out what is happening to netmail between our two systems?
I will try to look at logs again later tonight (my time) to share what I find.
If it's a fault with the software / system at my end I'm happy to own that but for now all I have done is share with you (and others) what I have found.
In doing so, and by replying to your echomail post that started this thread, it's seemingly morphing into something with a vibe that feels combative and I'm at a loss to understand why. Roy Witt. Don't take this personally. Really? WTF?
