Of course, I understand.  The repositories of various distributions include so
many packages.

Believe me, we talk about this kind of thing in the IFDC echo amongst
ourselves. We try to keep only files that aren't available on various package
managers for various distributions in FDNS on the FileGate.  Some packages
start out not on repositories, then after we start spreading them around, they
are picked up (really, this happens <g>).  It makes sense when you think about
it.

Agree there.  I think it's unfortunate that Gert wasted so much bandwidth with
this set of files.  I've just commented to him about another HUGE file he
wanted to release, Digikam... (I won't allow it, sorry Gert.)

We are NOT a friggin' linux repository, afterall.
