yeah, i forget what size our generator is but it serves the purpose... we only
connect six or eight circuts to it when we have to use it... two of those are
the computers a both ends of the location... others are specific outlets which
we then connect heavy duty cords to with outlet expanders on them so we can get
more than two devices operational...
eg: the aquariums and a couple of lights in the living room...
telephone base station and a light in the kitchen...
the fridge and freezer in the location...
the fridge and freezer on the back deck...
the fridge and freezer under the location...
the computer areas don't need any lights because of the monitors and we're
touch typists ;) that's seven 110 circuts plus the one 220 for the AC which
uses half for the heater fans... i think the generator is a 5000 watt unit...
we get 8 to 12 hours on a tank of gas depending on the load... we can easily
extend that by connecting a larger tank to its fuel line hose... the existing
tank sits on top of the unit and acts as a cover for the motor and generator...
it is a gravity fed fuel system so everything is out in the open and easily
available...
dang, sorry for the ramble... it must be past my bed time :?
