Putin wasn't really "elected" - Russian elections were already manipulated by 2000. And Putin wasn't acting like a terrorist in 2000, btw.
But Trump has been acting like Trump for about 40 (?) years already and your neighbors elected him in fair elections. Voluntarily. Twice!!
And they adore him.
