Mmm... I've been using SUBST-ed drives across the network here since June/July,
for the few squish areas that I use. No probs so far, although this node
doesn't see a lot of traffic.
I did some further testing with the idea this arvo, creating a pseudo area on
the 'host' drive (i.e. using the real path) and creating a downlink. But a
rescan of the area to the new downlink failed, possibly for the same reason
that Tommi Koivula had trouble with GEcho. <shrug>
Since I couldn't leave the setup to run with that config on the network, I had
to delete everything, but, you might care to take some time with it. Maybe
just before you're about to write that cheque for a shareware gating util.
