I didnt se any difference between the two, '#' vs 'V'. Bpoth had the same
results.

However, reading through something, the author referred to NetSerial as
"Playing with Ports" giving me the Layer 3 solution of just change the
freaking
ports!  Becuase the primary BBS is in a firewalld dmz, I set the ITN back to
the default, configured the port forwarding for external users (should there
be
any), and internally connect on port 23.

While this doesnt resolve the question of FD + SIO 1.60d, it fixes my headache
& a 30 year old problem! I will keep playing with it to see if there is a way
to do it, but for now the packets are flowing!
