Hello Bob,
LL>> The echo was not listed. I relisted the echo. Joe Bruchis
BK> I did not know that.
Joe Bruchis posted it online, in the Coffee Klasch echo, for
all to see. If you were so blind as to not see it, it is nobody's
fault but your own.
BK> I believe you are talking about it being mentioned in the echolist echo.
Of course it was in the echolist echo. Joe Bruchis posted
it in the Coffee Klatsch echo for all to see. What part of
that did you not understand?
BK> I didn't read that echo at that time.
You were one of the participants. Had you kept your big fat
mouth shut and not said a word (or had written in private via
netmail or email), then it would not have been necessary for
me to have relisted the echo.
I am sure you meant well. But the road to hell is paved
with good intentions. I treated the issue as a joke. Which
it was. And that is exactly how Roger N viewed it (although
he was more shocked than anything when he first realized
I was not joking when I mentioned I was the moderator).
LL>> Bob Klahn and Ross Cassell are working as a team. Their
LL>> latest endeavor is to steal this echo. Basically by using
BK> That is BS.
"I send everything to Ross." - Thom LaCosta
Thom LaCosta never had any real control of the echolist.
Neither does the present retard. Thom got tired of being
a puppet for Ross. Now a new one has been found to take
his place.
Ross C cannot steal this echo, or any other echo, through
an echolist. And neither can you. Even if you claim to be
doing so in his name (or anybody else's name).
I do not worship any echolist. And I sure as hell do not
worship Ross C (or any other fidonet administrator).
There is a reason why nobody outside of zone 1 takes the
echolist seriously. And fewer and fewer within zone 1 take
the echolist seriously. It is a joke.
There are too many dangers that can happen by keeping and
maintaining an echolist (if used for official purposes).
Censorship is an obvious danger. The present echolist has
been abused, and continues to be abused, for that purpose.
BK> Rather stupid at that.
It takes a really stupid person to swear fealty to an echolist.
Or to Ross C. Or to any individual for that matter.
BK> Reread what I wrote, I defended you against the accusation that you stole
BK> Coffee Klatch, and you pull this BS on me.
Nobody stole the Coffee Klatsch echo. It was a bunch of guys
(and at least two gals) having fun. A general chat echo, with
Roger N sitting around the campfire with everybody else enjoying
the pleasure of each other's company through banter. Even Frank
Vest (the sysop whose board I was using at the time) was a
participant and understood the whole thing as a joke. Had it
been anything else it would have been off with my head from his
board - and probably all of fidonet - permanently.
BK> You like stabbing people who stood with you in the back?
You made public statements that Roger N failed to update
the elisting for the Coffee Klatsch echo. Several participants
politely asked you to shut up. You continued to repeat your
statements, in public.
I was surprised that Roger did not throw you out of the echo
right then and there. But he was not taking you seriously, and
had thought the echo was elisted. Even though it had not been
for quite some time.
Roger, like most other people, has a life outside of fidonet.
I took it upon myself to elist the echo so that nobody else could
elist it. That way, Roger would be able to keep the echo. And
sure enough, trouble came soon afterwards.
You see, I did not advertise the fact that I had elisted the echo.
None of the other participants did, either. But others outside of
the echo were very much aware of the fact that the echo tag for the
Coffee Klatsch echo had expired. Only they did not act fast enough
to do what they had truly wanted.
Joe Bruchis found out about it when he read the echotag listing
in the elist echo. He then posted that entry in the Coffee Klatsch
echo for all to see.
I let it all play out, treating it as the joke it was. Roger N
was given the password, and was able to continue his role as
moderator. Frank Vest folded his board, and all the participants
left.
Well, except for Roy Witt. May his soul rest in peace.
