no that's not what happend.
some guy posted on reddit and then deleted the post.
it's on the internet archive.

read this:

+ it's nothing special and most people have these files
+ it's not the entire collection of files. i've spoken to pcmike and he has    more than a measly 1.8gigs it doesn't have "everything from the past"

+ there was someone who posted something like this years ago and this just might be something someone played with and added to.

it's nothing impressive and there's nothing in there that nobody else has.
it doesnt need to be hosted someplace. please dont be a dickhead and put a site up hosting it.  someone already did that with the bbsfiles.com siterip i posted.

i can understand why pcmike stopped letting people download all of his stuff via ftp.  dickheads would just grab it all and put up their own site and not give credit.

if you want files to download and then host on your own, just go to cd.textfiles.com  and grab a bunch of junk. and download some simtelnet stuff.
you'll have more old stuff than this little archive.
