Prop obviously was not yet full speed, or started at the time.  I hve not seen
it in person, but I have seen of course the films of people getting sucked into
jet intakes.  The ones I saw, survived thankfully.

Indeed it would.  When my parents lived in Windsor, in the early 80's, they
lived in a highrise.  We went to the roof to watch the fireworks.
