MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

     Title: Beef And Vegetable Barley Soup
Categories: Beef, Soups
     Yield: 12 Cups

     1 lb Lean ground beef
     1 c  Onions; chopped
     1 tb Garlic; minced
     2    Beef boulion cubes
     7 c  Water
     1 c  Fresh carrots; sliced
     1 c  Fresh celery; sliced
     1 tb Basil
     1    Bay leaf
14 1/2 oz Can whole tomatoes
   1/2 c  Uncooked barley
     2 c  Frozen mixed vegetables

 It's very easy and inexpensive to make!

 Brown first 3 ingredients.

 Add next 8 ingredients and simmer for 1 hour.

 Add mixed vegetables and simmer for 10 more minutes.

 Serve it with your favorite homemade whole-grain bread & butter.
