This one was supposedly a wild cat that someone happened to pick up on a
security or nature cam.  We have actually had some reality TV shows about
people who own wild cats.  A lot of them really do act like housecats but,
as you point out, if something goes wrong the magnitude of what happens
could be increased dramatically.
