The Fire tablets come with Amazon's own "skin" of the OS which is very
different from Android. The experience for people seems hit or miss whether
they like it or not. If you can get a version that can allows you to disable
the default launcher and use your own, you can get it to at least look/act a
little more like regular Android. Otherwise, I think the tablet's bezels
would be a benefit for someone that isn't able to hold things easily.
