An Italian artist has reportedly sold an invisible sculpture for more than $18,000 ? he says his work, ?Io Sono? (Italian for I am), is ?immaterial? meaning the sculpture does not actually exist. (Newsweek)

Salvatore Garau?s piece is in his imagination and therefore exists in a ?vacuum.? He instructs the sculpture should be displayed in an unobstructed area that is 5 feet by 5 feet - with no specific lighting requirements.

What do you get for $18K?  A stamped certificate and the knowledge that nobody can steal your art purchase!
