Do I really have to know what happens or where when I can connect to a network
or to the Internet time and time again without a glitch?  As it happens, I have
a reasonable idea of what part of my system does what but discussing that is
off-topic here.

Having said that, I do understand that with your system, you would search for
the least bytes overall if you did not want to upgrade.
