Why are you wanting to resurrect something like that when there's much
better alternatives out there already that are free? I don't understand
spending time and energy on that.
I can think of several programs: Qodem (which is a workalike of the
original Qmodem), Syncterm, Netrunner, mTel, Zap-O-Comm (ZOC; not cheap
but has been around for decades), and others that I can't think of right
now.
I use Qodem under Window and Linux. Under OS/2, I use Livewire which is
OS-specific.
