From what I've seen, Instant Ocean is the brand most often recommended on
the various aquaria forums. There's always some debate as to what's the
"best" but IO seems to meet the needs of many many people at a reasonable
price.

That said, I'd recommend that you forget about synthetic mixes and simply
collect natural seawater, since you're right on the coast. Just find a
friend with a boat, get some clean plastic containers, and go far enough
offshore that the water isn't affected by runoff or shore pollution. It's
hard to beat natural seawater, and the price is certainly right.

If you pay my way to Australia, I'll even collect it for you! :-)
