Subj : Tank Maintenance & No New Fry Seen

Yesterday I performed my usual tank maintenance, which included a 15-gallon
water change, siphoning detritus from the surface of the sand, dusting off
the rocks, and removing the algae from the side and front panes of glass.
I haven't caught sight of a single new fry since Mama Mbuna released them a
week ago today. Perhaps they are all hovering together in a tight cluster
somewhere within the rock decor. Considering that she had at least twelve
this time, I am a little surprised that I haven't caught sight of at least a
few of them by now.
Well, if I don't see any within another week, I am going to assume that the
ever-increasing fish load in the tank has taken its toll, and that
newly-released fry are no longer as safe as they used to be when the tank
was more sparsely populated.
We shall see.
