Subj : First Glimpse Of Spawn #9 Fry

Today, to my surprise, I caught my first glimpse of Mama Mbuna's ninth
spawn. I've been so busy lately, that I really wasn't expecting it. As it
turns out, it has been eighteen days since she began incubating this latest
spawn on the night of April 27th, so I imagine that within five days -- or
less -- she will be releasing them.
I just happened to look at her hovering in her favorite cave in the middle
of the tank when she suddenly released perhaps half a dozen fry. I wasn't
really able to count them accurately, because she scooped them back up into
her mouth too quickly.
She didn't get a lot to eat before she spawned this time, so I wouldn't be
surprised if she releases the fry sooner than later.
We shall see.
