That is what often happens with incumbents, though.
Good point. I was a registered Republican until just a few months ago, and I wasn't invited to vote in the 2020 primary and not in the 2024 primary either. It seems like they just handed it to Trump.
That's fine with me, but normally I wouldn't appreciate it.
