The only dishonest thing I've done on Facebook is my profile photo is a picture of me from about 10 years ago, but I am fussy about photos of myself and I think it's a good photo, and I think I still look the same.
IMO: They shouldn't care what you use as a profile photo, as long as it's not offensive or containing nudity. But obviously I don't make the rules.
I get the feeling that big tech is building their own database on us and taking inventory on people. I have no doubt that they get satisfaction from controlling people. They even said "When you take the selfie video we will ask you to turn your head in certain directions to get a view from different angles." If that's not a sick desire to control people, then I don't know what is.
