Are you saying, or suggesting, that Americans have no pride?
I'll have you know there are lots of LGBTQ+ folks who have their
pictures on US postage stamps.  And to date, nobody that I know
of has ever set fire to a single postage stamp (although the
post office did make it impossible to lick the stamps).
