Today I'm writing to you all about retro gaming! In the recent ye
ars it's been pretty big. Many youtubers and the like talk about
it. Well, I personally dabble in it, with emulation and using
actual, real consoles!
My current setup consists of using a PS3 that is backwards
compatible with PS2 and PSX games to play the majority of them.
I own a Gameboy Advance as well, but I plan to get an Everdrive
for it. I just have found that some of my favorite games over
the years have gotten to be far too expensive to re-buy or
to try out in the first place. Also I have a plan in case
my PS3 ever dies, and that is to buy a good computer that can
emulate PS2 and PSX games well, and most modern machines should
be able to do that.
So the point of this article is that retro gaming is still
doable for most people, especially if you're into the more
recent generations of consoles, which would be anything
past SNES/Genesis. I also recommend checking out the Retro
Gaming Board messageboard and accompying discord for it,
you can find lots of helpful folks at those places.
