I do have several projects that I'm working
on right now. I bought myself a raspberry pi
last month, and set up a pi-hole[1] which
works well! I do need to dig into a larger
block list though.
On my Raspi, I also set up a gopher server[2]
that is going to host some vintage computer
content, as well as all of my notes from
college. I have all of my physical notes
in a filing cabinet, separated by course,
and all of my digital files have been saved
in a Dropbox folder since the very first
semester.
I also have a gemini server running on
there, but I haven't publicized it so
none of the other servers are linking to me.
But right now, I'm working on setting up a
flash drive for my brother which will have
many of our old computer games on it, so
that he can play them without having to
mess with DOSBox configuration files
or anything.
We had a Packard Bell 486DX2 computer,
and according to a peeled off label I have,
it had a 810MB hard disk. I found a Packard
Bell wiki which lists a lot of the computer
models, but that specific one does not appear
anywhere! The reason that's significant is
because We lost the Master CD years ago, and
although I found a collection of PB restore
CDs on Archive.org, I have to try each one
in order to figure out which one is the
closest to the software that *we* had.
Really, the only reason I'm bothering
here is because he always enjoyed using
Packard Bell Navigator. It's easy to find
the 1.x and 3.x Versions online[3], but
the 2.0 that came on our PC is less
documented.
I'll check back in once I'm done to let
everyone know how it went!
See ya -m68k
