Uptime: 63 days and colorfield.space's little Pi Zero has never
once felt sluggish to me. I've had a chance to kick the tires a
bit; using the bulletin board (cspc), the text editor (chalk), the
stateless interface to local chat (gab), gopher, and the great
correspondance gaming system (oberon). Sysadmin sloum has even
installed a program of my own creation, a link aggregator
(linkulator).
One of the pillars of the pubnix universe is self-built tools, and
colorfield.space is a great example of this. All the tools listed
above were written by sloum, and they're all great and novel
approaches to their functions. I like the ergonomic simplicity of
sloum's UI design style -- each program is very purpose oriented
and presents your input options in an intuitive way while leaving
out any distracting extras.
If you're reading this post and haven't checked out
colorfield.space yet, I recommend you give it a shot. In
particular, it would be great to have more people test out oberon
and talk about what new games could be built for it.
