alkie-talkie or FM transmitter more successfully.

been paying enough attention! Alas, I've been out of the gophersphere...

owever, I've found a device (see my [most recent feel][1] for more info) that
as enhanced my access to being able to write text. And, as text is very much
hat Gopher is about, it works quite well.
nother thought that I had was that you might encode the wave form to .ogg
ocally, and then have your wife play that on her phone speaker, which would
ave bypassed the smart vocal encoding bits. Another thought would be some type
f video calling, which tends to transmit the audio with less noise
ancellation. I'm not oblvious to the hilarious irony of using those tremendous
mounts of computing power and bandwidth for transmitting simple text.
