February 2021 Five Questions from Christina:[1]
It's all about hacks!
CHRISTINA: 1. Share your favourite or most effective evil/unethical
hack(s)
XILED: Uh...the anarchist in me likes homemade napalm. I guess the
most recent would be pwnagotchi.[2]
CHRISTINA: 2. Do you have a preferred O'Reilly Books 'Hacks' guide?
Mine is _Mind Performace Hacks_ by Ron Hale-Evans
XILED: I have the Mind Performance Hacks book...that was good. I
referred to PSP Hacks quite a bit back in the day. For
non-O'Reilly, the PoC||GTFO series is entertaining.
CHRISTINA: 3. What hacks do you recommend for the barely
computer-proficient who are keen nonetheless?
XILED: textfiles.com has tons of info on various hacks.
CHRISTINA: 4. What time management hack(s) do you have?
XILED: None being used at the moment. I should revisit this. The
Pomodoro method was good. I don't think I've tried any
others for time management specifically.
Although not time management, David Allen's Getting Things
Done was useful and Chris Hardwick's The Nerdist Way was a
fun read. Also, HabitRPG/Habitica/EpicWin/gamified
task tools worked some for me in the past. For some reason,
I keep having to change up my tools to keep things interesting.
CHRISTINA: 5. Are you a biohacker? Do you know one? What biohacks
have you tried?
XILED: I wouldn't really consider myself a biohacker, but I do
monitor my food, sleep, exercise, blood sugars, etc.
regularly and adjust accordingly.
