My computing situation
-----------------------
On my main potato (HP Elitebook 8460) I run Debian Sid, which is my
distro of choice. I use BSPWM and mostly reside in my terminal
which is most often, terminator. I like terminator mainly due to
the fact that it's lightweight yet still very customizable.

My other machine is an old Dell XPS M1330, this runs either Void or
arco. Both sporting BSPWM. This laptop is very old but I like it.
Really nice screen and keyboard. It doesn't show its age very much
using it with mainly cli-applications.

I only use laptops nowadays. They have plenty of power these days
and I work at sea so the ability to keep my main machine with me is
a big bonus.

Linux has been my only operating system since 2001. I was using it
on some machines since 1997 but back then I also used MS Windows.

My first linux experience was using Slackware and later Debian.
Have tried a lot of distros and now I really donĀ“t care about the
distro that much. Debian is what I know best and keeps me from
needing to mess about much.

My web, media and gopher server is an old HP Pavillion dv5 with a
busted screen. Been running daily in this role for about a decade.
This is also running Debian Sid. Apache web server and motsognir
serving you this content.
