The IRC structure of bitreich has changed massively since its inception
last year.
## Freenode Group
We are now an official registered group at freenode. This allows us to
reserve the »#bitreich‐« channels. It also allows us to have cloaks for
registered users. If you look at the WHO of a user you see user@host.
The host can be modified to »bitreich/something1/something2«, where
»something1« and »something2« can be defined by us. All members of bi‐
treich can contact me to get one.
## Channels
Some new channels appeared.
### #bitreich
This is the channel where the idea and manifesto of bitreich started. It
was mainly German so it stayed German. To have a more uniform channel
naming, it is now a redirect to #bitreich‐en, because mainly English‐
speaking users arrive these days.
### #bitreich-de
Here #bitreich and its German users moved.
### #bitreich-en
The main channel of bitreich, where the culture and discussions happen.
It can be off‐topic, on‐topic, political, everything. Everyone is wel‐
come, if you like the bitreich manifesto.
### #bitreich-scm
This channel is for discussing changes and patches and simply to see new
changes to the projects in your IRC client instantly.
### #bitreich-radio
In this channel you see the currently played title on bitreich radio.
### #bitreich-council
This is the hidden channel where the council meets to discuss and have
democratic votings.
### #bitreich-con
During bitreichcon this channel is used for announcements.
All proposals for channels are welcome. But keep in mind: First live in them.
