Note on the graphs: 60 MHz, 66 MHz measured with 256 KB L2 cache
75 MHz measured with 512 KB L2 cache
90 MHz, 100 MHz, 120, 133 MHz have 1 MB L2 cache
SPEC
The Standard Performance Evaluation Corporation (SPEC) is a non-profit
organization formed to develop a standard suite of benchmark programs that
effectively measure the performance of the processor and cache/memory
subsystem.
SPEC membership is comprised of over 33 organizations in the computer industry
including semiconductor manufacturers, system manufacturers, and academic
institutions.
SPECint92 is the geometric mean of the SPECratios from six integer-intensive
benchmarks which constitute the CINT92 suite. SPECfp92 is the geometric mean
of the SPECratios from fourteen floating-point intensive benchmarks which
constitute the CFP92 suite. The CINT92 and CFP92 suites are both derived from
real application code and measure both the CPU and memory subsystem. Since
the metric is distributed in source code and compiled for a given platform, it
is often used to compare performance across architectures.
