Probably the very best gothic (fraktur) font yet designed
was the Neue Lutherische Fraktur by Volker Kuester, whose
other great design is Today Sans Serif. It is in the
ScanGraphics and Elsner & Flake libraries. Probably
the E&F version is the best one to get at the moment.
Any version of it can be hard to find in the US, but try
contacting FontHaus, PrecisionType, or FontShop Canada.

Neue Lutherische Fraktur comes in three weights: regular,
mdium, and display. It cannot be praised too highly.

Bill.
