I have observed that the AGC on my FT-107M is a bit too slow for
working AMTOR/PACTOR, even in its "fast" mode.
Anyone out there who has any tip on how to modify the FT-107 to
get the AGC work a little faster? It works ok when I turn the
AGC off, but it would certainly be nice to have it on, because
as it is now, I am forced to ride the RF gain up and down as the
signal of the other station varies. Any other suggestions of how
to modify the rig to get a faster TX/RX switching is welcome as
well. I have looked everywhere in BBS:es and Mailboxes for any
kind of mods for the FT-107, with no success.
