Accounter is a straightforward cash book accounts system - a development

within Excel98. (You need Macintosh Excel98 and a basic familiarity with

that program).

With Accounter you know where you are and where everything is because all

entries are out in the open on a spreadsheet.

Accounter lets you break down one or more accounts into as many categories

as you wish. But you don't have to have a column for each category with

the columns extending "out west" seemingly forever - no scrolling every

time you make an entry.

Accounter makes whole or part summaries of your accounts with a choice of

how much detail you want.

Accounter handles splitting up of debits and credits into sub entries and

also lets you set up for one or more taxes such as Sales, Value Added or

Goods and Services taxes.

Accounter is simple to use but sophisticated. Shareware.

approved by Intuit, Inc.

The program works by comparing the current, working file with a saved
file to make sure that there haven't been any spontaneous changes to
the data. I have experienced a number of spontaneous changes in my
files, including some with Quicken 98 (the most recent version I've
used). I've also experienced changes once when performing a version
upgrade.

AccountsAuditor was developed under System 7.5.5. Recent revisions
and my current use of the program are under System 8.6. As far as I
know, the program should run under System 7.0 through 9.x. The
program requires at least 8000K of free memory; a large file can
require two or three times that amount.

Version 1.1 introduces two changes:

Dates are now interpreted in accordance with date format settings in
the Date & Time Control Panel, instead of assuming the date format
conventional in the US. A consequence of this change is that dates
with four-digit years are forced into the same range (1928 - 2027) as
dates with two-digit years.

To accommodate newer versions of Quicken (including future versions),
as well as other money management programs, lines in the export file
may now be of unlimited length. They previously were limited to the
the maximum length exported by Quicken 98.

Perform currency conversions between French Francs and Euros inside any
text file.

Use it to convert bank accounts from minitel or web, exported price
lists, bills, web pages and any text file including amounts .

It must be used by open a text file.
The main window allowyou to choose how to treat numbers not followed by
any currency symbol : FRF= French Francs; EUR= Euros.
You could also choose the output format of the converted numbers:
1- FRF (EUR) output numbers in Francs followed by amount in Euros
between parenthesis.
2- EUR (FRF) output numbers in Euros followed by amount in Francs
between parenthesis.
1- EUR output numbers in Euros only.

The following procedure is used to perform conversion:
1- only numbers having a two numbers decimal part are treated : x.xx.
2- commas for decimal part is replaced by a point : xx,xx => xx.xx
3- spaces are removed from numbers like x xxx xxx.xx
4- trailing plus or minus signs (xxxx.xx- or +) are placed before the
number (- or + xxxx.xx)
5- every unit in the range : F, FR, f, fr is replaced with FRF
6- every unit in the range : �, euro, euros is replaced with EUR
7- �ht, �HT, �ttc, �TTC, Fht, FHT, fht, fHT, fTTC, FTTC, Fttc, fttc are
treated similarly with an added space after EUR or FRF.
8- the unit choosen in first dialog is added to numbers without currency
unit (ie: EUR or FRF).
9- formated and rounded output number is placed inside the document
following the choice made in the second dialog.
10- The converted file is saved at the same folder level with the same
name completed by the characters .cv�

An overall control of the converted file must be made to verify that the
preceding rules have not been contradicted by an exotic number format
not taken into account.

The program has been developed with MacPerl 5 that is Perl 5, ported to
the Mac by Matthias Neeracher <[email protected]>
and ported on powerPC with relBasic v3.5

misconceptions in my use of RegExps but I hope to increase my knowledge

Including Tax! is a freeware pricing calculator that allows you to

calculate tax-inclusive prices given a dollar value and a tax rate,

or tax-exclusive prices given a tax rate and an inclusive figure. You

can also calculate international prices based on exchange rate values.

The results of the calculations are recorded in an editable text

field, which can be copied, printed, pasted into a spreadsheet,

and/or manually annotated.

One additional feature is the ability to use addition ('+') and

multiplication ('*') symbols in the Amount field. For example, you

can automatically add 7.72 and 3.35, and calculate the tax and

tax-inclusive total by typing '7.72+3.35' in the Amount field. This

version does not support the mixing of addition and multiplication -

use one or the other, not both together.

We recognise that the functionality provided by Including Tax! could

easily be duplicated by using a spreadsheet application, with a

couple of simple formulas. However, sometimes, a spreadsheet is just

not convenient, especially when you want to quickly calculate a

couple of totals. Some people will find this application of no use,

others, whose need will be solved by Including Tax!, will find it

very useful!

Including Tax! will run on all PPC- based Macintosh computers. It

requires 900K of free RAM, and a minimum of System 7.1.

A version for Windows 95 (minimum) is also available.

My Money Minder v1.2 is a Made with Real Basic application that lets
you keep track of your expenses, income and bank account balances. To
organise these an unlimited number of user defined Categories can be
entered. The Categories can be further organised into Groups. Methods
of payment, such as Cash or Credit Card, can also be tracked. Groups,
Categories and Payments can be summarised by month for each financial
year. Recurring items, such as Rent or Pay, can be automatically
entered. All the data in My Money Minder is displayed in a spreadsheet
style grid. The Yearly Summary can also be displayed as either a bar,
pie or line graph.

This new version adds: Undo, autocomplete, anti-aliased text (Mac OS X

Internet Config has a great Database containing extension: NameChum Pro allows you to use it, when you should insert a new suffix. You may easily modify this Database...

By using hot keys you may skip the "request" dialog and changing, on the fly, by using the default action. Moreover there's a key for setting the preferences before work.

After all you may use the enclosed Contextual Menu Extension for asking NameChum Pro to rename your selection.

NameChum Pro is Internet Config, Drag Manager and Navigation Manager aware, moreover it's Appearance savvy. It requires at least System 7 to run.

description of each transaction. It is
useful for converting QIF downloaded from online banking or credit
card web sites before importing them into Quicken. To convert a QIF
file, just drop it onto QIF Categories.
You can configure QIF Categories as a browser helper application for
files of type application/qif to have it invoked automatically on
downloaded QIF files.

QIF Categories converts each transaction in the QIF file dropped on
it by: 1) Deleting any existing category; 2) Adding a category
associated with the transaction's description, or getting the
category from the user if none is associated; 3) removing the plus
sign from transaction amounts (because not all versions of Quicken
allow plus signs); 4) optionally adding an indication that the
transaction has cleared; 5) optionally extracting a check number from
the description (unless the transaction already has a check number);
6) optionally changing the description and category to values
associated with the combination of the original description and the
amount; and 7) transferring all other parts of each transaction to
the output file. You can convert the input file in place or choose a
different output filename.

QIF Master makes it easier to enter banking, credit card, and
investment transactions into Quicken. Many online banks and credit card
companies allow you to download recent transactions (checks, deposits,
credit card charges, etc.) into a file in the Quicken Interchange
Format (QIF), so that you can import these transactions into your
Quicken account.� The problem with this approach is that typically the
bank has no way of assigning meaningful categories to the
transactions.� So, if you care about categorizing your Quicken
transactions, you must go through each transaction you have just
imported in Quicken, and add categories.�� QIF Master automates this
process.

QIF Master also handles investment transactions. Although recent
versions of Quicken for the Macintosh have allowed investment
transactions to be downloaded into Quicken, in many cases the downloads
are incomplete and sometimes wrong. An alternative approach is to use
QIF Master to extract QIF from your investment firm's transaction
history web page and import that QIF into Quicken. Investment
information is not produced in QIF format by the investment firms; to
get QIF you must use QIF Master to convert the transactions on the web
page into QIF.

QIF Master will also convert comma-separated value (CSV) files into QIF.

QIF Web Extract extracts transactions from brokerage website
transaction history pages and converts them into Quicken Interchange
Format (QIF). The resulting QIF file can then be imported into
Quicken. To use QIF Web Extract, you display your transaction history
in your web browser. You then select the entire web page (or the
frame of the page with transactions), and copy it into the clipboard.
Then run QIF Web Extract, which extracts the transactions you specify
from the clipboard.

To be able to accomplish this extraction, QIF Web Extract needs to
know what securities and accounts you have defined in your Quicken
file, and it needs to know how your website presents its transaction
information. You need to export your securities and accounts from
Quicken, and QIF Web Extract needs to learn about your website.

QIF Web Extract has the ability to learn about a wide range of
websites. However, no guarantee can be made that any particular
website can be learned. Since different browsers encode web page
information copied into the clipboard in different ways, the specific
web browser used is a factor in determining whether QIF Web Extract
can learn a particular website. QIF Web Extract has been tested with
and works with both Internet Explorer and Netscape.
