Jarte requires "riched20.dll" (which is not part of Windows 2000).
Jarte is a direct replacement for the Windows WordPad word processor
(it even uses the same MicroSoft engine as WordPad).
WordPad is sufficient for the majority of word processing needs.
However, WordPad has one glaring and annoying weakness... it has NO
Spell Checker! Jarte adds the missing spell checker, plus incorporates
WordPad enhancements added by MicroSoft but never incorporated into
their "never-enhanced" WordPad Skin.
NOTE: You must manually change the associations to the .DOC, .RTF,
and .WRI file extensions from WordPad to Jarte, if you want Jarte to
launch on a document "double-click" instead of WordPad.

RichText DLL
Free for Windows users
Word Processors that need to access the Windows RTF file format used
by Microsoft Word require the Microsoft RichText DLL. This library
unfortunately does not ship with Microsoft Windows (although it is
bundled as part of Microsofts free Word Viewer program).
To upgrade Windows, simply drop this riched20.dll file into the
WINNT SYSTEM32 (or WINDOWS SYSTEM) directory.
