This argument arises now and again.

The nature of the QWK network means that there is no official central hub as
such.  ANY SysOp that's willing can be the hub for ANY SysOp that's needy.

There is no need for anyone to poll any specific hub (formally designated the
central hub or otherwise).  Everyone just needs to poll the most convenient
location FOR THEM.

That's what being a network means.  Any point of connection is as good as any
other.
