my definition of internet ready is a program that communicates via tcp/ip
where a external mod can communicate with the bbs via its own port, or a
port that listens for externals...  To me that sounds simple, but thats why
I'm asking...

when I say text, I really am refering to anything I can stick into a string
cariable or an array of type char.
