Subj : Waiting for BBS thread

I built sbbs on another maching using the CVS method and copied over the
configs and baja modules I created. Wwhen I start sbbs as root using 'sbbs
unsbbs ugsbbs', I get a repeated "Waiting for BBS thread" message.  What
causes that?
