I'm going to attempt a guess here, and say that when you originally shut it
down to upgrade an event was running. Check your /sbbs/data directory for an
odd event semaphore (*.now) that may not have been deleted because the event
was terminated abruptly. If you see something like "fidoin.now" just sitting in
