Possibly. I'm not sure I would trust users with access to Microsoft's
telnet.exe. For one thing, it would allow them to 'close' the
connection you're bridging them with and open another connection, anywhere,
potentially using your system as an unsuspecting attack
source.

What led you to that conclusion? I'm not aware of any "newer version of telnet"
