    No, not much at all really.  I've been a PC tech for more than 10 years,
but never picked up a programming language.  I've dabbled in BASIC back in the
days of the Commodore 64, but that was it.

    What woud be a good "first" language to learn?  I have been told that C++
is the way to go.  Maybe Perl is the better way to go for today's needs?
