I use peerblock and then i use a custom blocklist file.
i have a script that i use to add offenders to it also.
the syntax is real simple so i recommend using it.

I dont like synchronet to handle attackers.
it's sort of sissy slapping back at them.  I don't want to see the attempts or the system taxed.
