...NWS Damage Survey for 05/02/2019 Tornado Event - Update 1...

.Updated to correct tornado locations and times.

.National Weather Service damage survey teams found two
tornadoes in northern Pulaski County from storms that occurred
Thursday afternoon. The National Weather Service will survey more
damage in the coming days.

Updated for the Bergman Tornado.

.Overview...
An isolated supercell became tornadic near Bergman in Boone
County. It produced a tornado along a 6.7 mile path, lifting
southwest of Lead Hill. The storm became outflow-dominant,
producing straight-line wind damage at Lead Hill.

Later on, a complex of thunderstorms moved through western and
central Arkansas producing straight-line wind damage in several
counties after midnight.

Survey Summary:
The tornado first hit just south of Zinc Road about a mile
southeast of Bergman. Along the path, there were trees uprooted
and snapped, and power lines down. Several homes were damaged,
and a couple of manufactured homes were blown over or completely
destroyed. Several outbuildings were damaged or completely
destroyed. The tornado damaged a mobile home before crossing
State Highway 7 near Dixon Hollow. It lifted just after crossing
the highway.
