Chocolate Chip Butterscotch Bars

Ingredients

 cup unsalted butter
1 cups light brown sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Line a 9-by-13-inch pan with
parchment paper, leaving enough room to create an overhang on both sides.
Grease parchment with nonstick cooking spray or butter.

2. Melt butter in a saucepan set over medium-low heat. Alternatively, melt in a
medium, microwave-safe bowl in the microwave. Add brown sugar and mix until
smooth. Add eggs one at a time, stirring well after each addition. Add vanilla
and salt. Stir well to combine. Add flour and baking powder, then stir until
just combined. Fold in chocolate and butterscotch chips.

3. Transfer batter to prepared baking dish and spread into an even layer. Bake
for 20 to 25 minutes, or until top appears shiny and edges are golden and
pulling away from sides of pan. Do not overbake.

4. Let bars cool until just warm. Run a paring knife around edge of pan to
loosen, then use parchment overhang to remove. Cut into bars and serve.
