DV Tool 2.1 crashed on me big time, where I could NOT connect to
ANY reflector. Never mind it took forever for another second Tuesday
Windows Updates assortment to complete.
So, I found DV Tool 2 Beta 4, that I got from Bill, KC8YQL. It has
the conventional repeaters, plus both the regular reflectors, and the
X-Reflectors. So, I can connect to the reflectors again (including
REF 26 where I have most of my nets), and to REF 48 (where I am tonight
for the Arklatex D-Star Net).
The only thing this version of DV Tool does not have is a volume level
meter. But, it was either this, or be off of D-Star permanently.
Weather and finances are big issues for me right now. We are into our
tornado season, and that limits my computer time. Plus, with finances
outside of ham radio, any splurging for new shack items will have to wait
until at least May. I won't be traveling any more outside of the central
Arkansas area, due to various red flags.
Lastly, while I'm changing callsigns on March 26, I won't be able to
get new ornamental items until possibly May, due to a large bill for the
taxes done by a CPA for my Mom in April.
