This message area is for finding the appropriate ham radio gear for
your shack.

Like any other hobby, there is ham radio gear priced for every budget.
As an example, you can get a Baofeng UV-5R dual band handi-talkie for
under $50 on Amazon -- but the old saying "you get what you pay for",
applies. You can get a "DV Dongle" for use on D-Star (with your home
computer, without purchasing a radio), for $200...all the way up to
"a DC To Daylight Rig" for $17,000!!

There are many dealers across the country, and around the world that
sell gear, and you can also order direct from the manufacturer. Most
of these also have internet websites, to make ordering easier. When
using a dealer, check their policies on new and used gear, as well as
for repair service. In most cases, it's cheaper to buy a new rig to
replace one that has failed, than to pay to have it repaired. See the
related message area for details.

Note that I am working on preparing batchfiles for these message areas,
and it may take some time to get these posts going.

Also, since I consider messages over 30 days old to be out of date on
my BBS, these messages are deleted after that point, and reposted once
a month, with new information, when required.
