They threw a fit with Florida State University having the name of
"Seminoles". But, from what I understand, they have an agreement...
possibly monetary...with the local area Seminole tribes (there are
several Indian names for some Florida cities). They are on very good
terms with the university, and have been for several years.
They also have an excellent meteorology department, and even created
a model used by the National Hurricane Center with their forecasts.
