MR> twitter and facebook were both doing dirty deeds.  that's a fact.

Never said they weren't.  In fact, I said that the break was the best thing for me.  I well remember the whole Cambridge Analytical bruhaha.  As far as I'm concerned, I can do without any of them.  With facebook, I limit the number of people that I have "friended" and I don't click on click bait.  I'm there just long enough to check on the family and friends that I do follow.  If I get ads or "news" items in my feed, I report them as inappropriate and move on.  Give their algorithm something to figure out.

MR> so you liked twitter before which was a propaganda machine?

I'm sure that it was better than it is today.  But, I guess I'll never know because I'm not on there.  And as far as Facebook is concerned...eh.  I could always do what we did before 'social' media...pick up the phone and call my family and friends.
