I agree that getting a recent digital copy that has been properly transefer is
optimal, but from my end, I encounter two issues:

1) I am not buying a film I already own, even if for upgrading from a format to
another.

2) Many times, they botch the transfers by including deleted scenes that were
excluded from the original for a good reason.
